THE DOMINANANT INFLUENCE in this design is an important watercolor painting of a magnolia painted by George Ehret, widely regarded as the most important botanical illustrator of the 18th century. Naturalists recorded flora and fauna and sent botanical illustrations and even specimens back to England. This curiosity and interest in the nature led to the incorporation of designs from flora and fauna into silver, furniture, prints, textiles and other objects known as the “decorative arts.”
The Wood Serving Trays are available in three finishes; black, white and mahogany. The base of each tray is printed on a hardboard material with three layers of protective coating.
